Investing in community driven solutions to eliminate health inequities.
We believe in a Greensboro where racial equity has been achieved, and systems, policies, and prevailing norms work together to ensure that everyone is healthy.
Working to eliminate health inequities is at the heart of our mission. By centering historically marginalized communities in our grantmaking, investments, strategic partnerships, and advocacy we’ll achieve our vision of a Greensboro where health inequities no longer exist.
We’re hiring!
Are you passionate about eliminating health inequities? Are you interested in applying your skills and experience to oversee the Foundation’s financial and operational functions?
If you’ve answered yes, you could be Cone Health Foundation’s next Finance and Grants Manager
Our Focus
Cone Health Foundation invests in community-driven solutions and advocates for systems and policy change at the local and state levels. We work in partnership with community-based organizations, civic and legislative leaders, and the philanthropic community, centering the voices and experiences of those in Greensboro who have been historically marginalized.
What We Fund
As we work towards a Greensboro in which health inequities no longer exist, our grantmaking is focused not just on supporting access to health care, but also working on root causes by addressing the social drivers of health. This shift is happening over time as we learn alongside our community, sharing and interpreting community data and stories together.

The Greensboro Community Report
As part of our ongoing commitment to partner with organizations who work across social drivers, we want to better understand the challenges, opportunities, and best practices happening across sectors. Developed to uncover opportunities to accelerate the work of community-based organizations in Greensboro, the Greensboro Community Report will serve as a foundational tool to guide our work.
Grant Partner Spotlight
Combat Female Veterans Families United
For many female veterans, the transition from military to civilian life is filled with challenges—financial instability, difficulty accessing resources, and the struggle to feel connected to their communities. More than 1,300 female veterans reside in Greensboro, and Combat Female Veterans Families United (CFVF) utilized Nurturing Equity funding to support these women, tackling these challenges head-on.
